Being called Mom is my greatest blessing.

Why did I call my blog “Madison’s Mom”? Well, of course one reason is, obviously, that Madison, (aka Madi Jo), is my youngest daughter. She is the one that made me a full-fledged Momma. Her older sister, Riann, gave me some practice in being a step-mom, but I came into her life after the diaper and sleepless night stages. All of the “from the start/beginning” Momma stuff was new to me.

The next reason is that when I was younger, my friends wouldn’t call my Mom by her real name or Mrs. Wheeler…it was Melanie’s Mom. “Hey, are you Melanie’s Mom?” or “Look, it’s Melanie’s Mom.” I didn’t think much about it when I was younger, other than I thought it was funny.

Madi goes to preschool a few times a week. Now that I’m a mom of a toddler that goes to preschool, I’ve heard a new title for myself from her friends when I pick her up. It’s not Mrs. Geyman or Melanie, but “Madi’s Mom.” So now, I get to hear “Madi, your Mom is here!” and “Look, it’s Madi’s Mom!” And let me tell you, that is the best title I believe I can ever have. ❤️❤️
